Advanced Nanotechnology for Extreme Weather Protection

After inspecting hundreds of homes throughout the Treasure Valley, I noticed a pattern. Many roofs were still structurally serviceable but homeowners were being forced into costly replacements because they had no maintenance option available.

That's why I’ve started Idaho Roof Restoration—to provide homeowners with another solution between doing nothing and replacing their roof.

Your roof is your home’s first line of defense. THIS Roof Solution uses cutting-edge nanotechnology that shingles hydrophobic, increase impact resistance, and protect against UV, algae, and ice damage. It’s an affordable, eco-friendly way to add 10–15 years of life to your roof — without the cost of replacement.

The Aging Process

  • Year 1–5: Normal settling, curing and expected granule loss. Thermal expansion is tolerated with new resilient shingles.

  • Year 5–10: The freeze–thaw cycle and exposure begin the oxidation, process. Breaking down oils, and flexibility. Fading begins to become noticeable.

  • Year 10–15:The protective granule layer is noticably thinning, leaving the asphalt exposed, causing the shingles to become brittle. Curling, cracking, cupping or lifting begin to reflect the effects of the exposure.

  • Year 15+: Shingles have reached their reliable lifespan age as their susceptibility to wind damage, cracking and leaking is obvious in their worn out appearance.

A new shingle roof doesn’t guarantee long life. In fact, without protection, today’s shingles can fail even faster than older ones because of reduced asphalt content and cost-cutting in manufacturing.

The Smarter Path: Treatment from the Start

During the Idaho Roof Restoration, shingles receive a nano-silica treatment that penetrates and strengthens them at the molecular level. This process:

  • Restores lost oils and flexibility

  • Creates a hydrophobic barrier so water beads off instead of soaking in

  • Shields against UV, hail, algae, and freeze–thaw stress

  • Extends shingle life by 10–15 years or more
